Read the guideSearch any toilet model to find its Maximum Performance (MaP) flush-test score, water efficiency, and how it compares.
The Maximum Performance (MaP) test was developed by the Canadian National Research Council to give consumers an objective way to compare toilet flush performance. The test uses soybean paste media to simulate solid waste and measures how many grams a toilet can clear in a single flush.
| Score Range | Rating | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| 800–1000g | ★ Excellent | Handles heavy use, very unlikely to clog |
| 500–799g | Good | Adequate for most households |
| 350–499g | Fair | May struggle with heavy loads |
| 250–349g | Minimum | Passes certification but limited capacity |
Type any toilet brand name, model name, or model number in the search box above. The tool searches our verified product database and shows you the MaP score, water efficiency, flush system type, and trapway size for each match.
MaP scores in our database come from two sources:
We always note the source so you know whether a score is independently verified or manufacturer-claimed.
