Who we are
Best Flushing Toilets is an independent editorial site focused on one practical problem: finding a toilet that clears the bowl every time. Toilets are bought once a decade and live in your home for years, yet the spec sheets are confusing and the marketing is loud. We exist to cut through that.
We are not a manufacturer and we are not a retailer. We are a small editorial team that reads the data, compares the options and explains what actually matters so you can buy with confidence.
How we research and review
Our rankings are built from evidence you can verify, not first-person hype. For every toilet we look at:
- Published manufacturer specifications such as flush system, GPF, rough-in, bowl shape and height.
- MaP flush-test scores from independent Maximum Performance testing, our primary measure of flushing power.
- Certifications including EPA WaterSense and ADA compliance where relevant.
- Aggregated owner reviews across major retailers to surface real-world reliability and common complaints.
To be completely honest about our limits: we do not physically test units in a lab. We do not stage fake first-person testing, and you will never read a made-up story about a toilet we supposedly installed. We compare and interpret credible published data, and we say so plainly.
